Introducing The Elpis Children’s Foundation
Greetings Family and Friends
We are excited to introduce you to our non-profit organization, The Elpis Children’s Foundation (“The Foundation”). The Ray of Hope Newsletter will share our new journey of faith as we seek your prayers and support.
Next month, we will share more details about our mission and tell you about our first project in Ghana.
Enjoy!

Our Journey to Elpis
Over the years, God had been warming our hearts to serve the orphaned, needy and abandoned children in a more significant way. We started sponsoring a 5-year-old child in Uganda in 2016 as a way to commemorate our 10th wedding anniversary and our daughter Sophia’s 5th birthday. Over the last couple of years, we have visited and donated to Village of Hope in Gomoa Fetteh, Ghana. As you may know, Alfred is originally from Ghana.
Closer to home, we’ve had the opportunity to serve a pregnancy center in Philadelphia through Board membership, co-leading Bible studies with clients, and supporting mothers and families in their parenting journey. In 2024, we will earn certification through Safe Families and open our home to provide respite care to children while their families take essential steps toward stability.
Through these opportunities, God was leading us to take the next step in our journey and we are excited that The Elpis Children’s Foundation was granted federal tax-exempt status in November 2023.
OUR MISSION
